human recontruction/hiperealist sculpture

Our studio specializes in reconstructing the human body, both specific parts and the whole. Facial reconstruction is carried out in the traditional way, layering the various tissues at the thicknesses indicated on a 1:1 scale skull. The work is often intended for museum displays, but is also required for theatrical performances and film shoots, where anatomical reconstructions can also be worn or applied directly to actors. In the case of the reconstruction of bodies in the archaeological field, of Homo Sapiens Sapiens, Hominids, and Neanderthals, the work is carried out on synthetic skulls that are very faithful to the archaeological originals; using clay and/or plasticine, the various layers of soft tissue are modeled, finishing with the skin. Particular attention is given to the final expression of the sculpture and facial mask. After printing the models, we create the final product using pre-colored and made-up platinum silicone rubber, inserting human hair and, where necessary, glass prosthetic eyes.
